Grades 6-8


Students learn the basics of acting, including improvisation, pantomime, blocking, and character development and have the opportunity to perform in the classroom and in onstage productions.


While learning to write their own plays and film scripts, students will learn to develop plots, conflicts, and characters for the stage.  Students will also brainstorm, draft, revise, and edit their writing and have have the chance to see their scripts performed.


Students develop art and construction skills as they design and create props and background sets for plays.  Students also learn the basics of stage production using microphones, lighting, and curtains for plays.
